Spring Ahead Giveaway!

One of the happiest days of the year for me is Spring Ahead day, when we move our clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Savings Time.  I know that a lot of people hate springing ahead, but I love extra daylight at the end of the day.  I feel like I have more energy and get more things done.  And it means that spring is right around the corner!  This weekend we will be setting our clocks ahead one hour, and I've decided to do a little giveaway to celebrate.  Here's what one lucky winner will get:
It's a mini Ott Lite!  And look!  It has pretty spring flowers and birds on it!  Here's a little extra light to go with the extra light we will be having!  My husband says that I should do this giveaway in the fall, when we "fall back" and lose an hour.  His reasoning is that a light is what someone will need with less light in the evening.  Makes sense, but I couldn't wait to do this giveaway!  And besides, this light has springy BIRDS and FLOWERS on it!
If you would like to enter this giveaway, please leave a comment on this post.  You have to be a follower of my blog to enter.  It's easy to follow - just click the "Join This Site" button on the right (underneath where it says "People Who Follow CraftyCat").  Make sure there is a way that I can contact you.  I will draw the name of one winner on Friday, March 13th at noon EST and will announce that winner right here in my blog.  I'll also e-mail the winner.  Good luck!

ATTENTION BLOGGERS!
I thought I'd also mention the Meet and Greet that is taking place on March 20th at the Sew We Stitch blog.  It's for bloggers who do applique, embroidery or cross stitch and will give us the opportunity to share our favorite projects with bloggers from around the world.  It's a great way to get your blog seen and to highlight your favorite needlework pastimes.  So just go visit Sew We Stitch and find out how to join.  And even if you're not a blogger or just don't feel like participating, you can still go to Sew We Stitch that day to see the different blogs taking part.  Check it out and have fun!

  4. I complete agree with you. I really dislike going back to "real" time in the fall and wish they'd just make DST the year 'round time. As for that light, oh my! I love the birds and flowers, and it's just what I need when we visit our daughter. Thanks for sharing - my fingers will be crossed for the next two weeks!

  5. Lucky you! Here in the UK we don't put our clocks forward until the end of March. I wish we could stay on British Summer Time, it's so nice to have the extra hour of daylight in the evening.
I would love to enter your giveaway as long as you wouldn't mind posting to the UK (if it's too expensive then just count me out). I have never seen those lights before and am off to search for them on the Internet now!

  6. i haven't gone through a time change in 21 years (I lived in Arizona and we didn't change time) so this is going to take some getting used to. I would love to enter your giveaway. I've never seen the mini Ott light and that is so cute. Thanks for this chance.

  7. So generous of you! I would love to be entered!
I love the extra hour of daylight but hate losing an hour of sleep and trying to get my body to readjust. But if it means spring is closer, bring it on!

  8. What a cute neat give away prize... To be honest I have never see such a cute light before. I would love to enter but I have to say I live in England, and some bloggers don't post to here due to postage costs... If my some miracle I was chosen I am happy to help with postage costs, if you like? I wanted to get that out, so you know before hand.
I am so disappointed that I cannot attend your meet and greet.... I am sure it will be a marvellous success... Hmmm am I reading that wrong??? It's not a physical meet at a place?? It's a virtual meet up?? Oh my I feel silly for conspfusing this :(.
Do you have a link for where we have to meet up on the 20th March?? I would love to join in on a virtual meet up :)
I am going now before I start confusing other things!! Must be one of those days??!!
    Smiles :)

    1. Yes, the Meet and Greet is virtual. It's being hosted and organized by Mdm Samm at the Sew We Stitch blog. All you have to do is let her know that you're interested in joining in by March 14th, and let her know what kind of needlework you do. Then on the 20th, post 3-5 photos of projects you've done! She will have a list of everyone participating, and you can "blog hop" around to see everyone's accomplishments.

  9. I admire your optimism about springing forward haha! I think I would rather fall back again instead. I'll eventually have the energy but the adjustment period I could live without. :D

The light is adorable, I don't think I've seen an OTT lite like that around here (although big surprise, boonies and all hah!). I would love to be added to the hat.

  10. Oh my, the little light is so sweet. I certainly haven't seen one like this before. I am a new follower with GFC, btw. The blog hop sounds really fun as I like to cross stitch and appliqué too. Happy Spring. x

  11. What a great way of looking at the time change. I would actually prefer we do without the change at all. Eventually we will get the extra light. :) What a cute light. I have not seen one decorated like that.

  12. I have a bigger Ott Lamp which I love -- and I could use a smaller one like this for so many things! Great prize! I follow you on GFC as Carolsue.
